Happy Easter from the HAWL and Security Staff! The HAWL Office will be closed on Friday, April 18, 2025, for Good Friday.
Guest Entrance Policy for Easter
With Easter being a busy time for the Front Main Gate, please ensure that all guests are
pre-registered with the gate before they arrive. Use the app or the web portal for Gate Sentry to input your visitors into the system BEFORE they arrive at the gate. Please only use the phone call option when the app or web portal is not available to you. Phone calls must be from a phone number registered through the HAWL Office. WHEN CALLING, ONLY A MAXIMUM OF TWO GUESTS MAY BE REGISTERED. CALLS MAY ONLY BE TAKEN 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE. Guest Registration Forms must be used when registering three or more guests. These forms are available on the HAWL website, the Front Main Gate, and the HAWL Office. BY NOT USING THE APP OR WEB PORTAL, THE GATE BECOMES VERY BUSY AND IT DELAYS DISPATCHING URGENT CALLS FOR PATROL ASSISTANCE TO OWNERS AND CAUSES GATE ENTRY DELAYS. The Office staff is available to help all owners with the app and web portal or inputting visitors into the system. Please call the HAWL Office so we may assist you.

Waters Edge Open for Easter – 11:30 am - 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm
Easter Buffet – The cost of the buffet is $21.99 for adults, $10.99 for children 5 - 12, and 99¢ for children 4 & under. The buffet will include: ham, fried chicken, vegetables, potatoes, salad, and desserts. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484.
To-go plates are available for $16.99 each and feature: ham, a piece of fried chicken, vegetables, potatoes, salad, and dessert. Orders may be picked up either between 10:45 am - 11:00 am or 12:45 pm - 1:00 pm. Call the HAWL Office for reservations.
**All orders must be placed no later than 30 minutes before closing.
Limited quantity of specials available – reserve your daily special.
Due to the high demand of the delicious daily specials and to ensure it will be available when you come in, please contact the Restaurant (during the Restaurant regular open hours) to reserve your daily special.

Lifeguard Training Course
Friday, May 2, 2025 – Sunday, May 4, 2025
HAWL will be hosting a lifeguard training course being managed by Brianna Long from May 2nd to May 4th. You must be at least 15 years of age or older to enroll. To register for the class, visit the link at hawlms.com. This course is intended to certify lifeguards. To be considered for a position at Hide-A-Way, applicants must have current lifeguard certification or be scheduled for training. Contact the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484 if you are interested in applying for a position as a lifeguard.
Cinco de Mayo
Sunday, May 4, 2025 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm, with Waters Edge. The special includes: a cup of tortilla soup, Mexican rice, black beans, enchilada bake, a taco, a tamale, and cinnamon tortilla strips with vanilla ice cream for dessert with a drink for $15.99. Reservations are required. Take out orders must be picked up between 11:00 am - 11:30 am with the time specified when ordering. For reservations, call the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484.

Bring the family to the Lodge Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 8:30 am - 11:00 am to meet community helps and see their vehicles up close! This family friendly event is great for both children and children at heart! Light snacks will be provided. If you are a community helper with a vehicle and would like to participate, contact the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484.
Mother’s Day Lunch
Sunday, May 11, 2025 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
Join Waters Edge on Sunday, May 11, 2025, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm for Mother’s Day. Enjoy ham, fried chicken, sweet potato casserole, the vegetable of the day, a dinner salad, a cup of soup, a roll, dessert, and drink for $16.99. A kid’s portion will be available for $7.99 featuring ham, fried chicken, sweet potato casserole, the vegetable of the day, a roll, dessert, and drink. Take out orders must be picked up between 11:00 am - 11:30 am with the time specified when ordering. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484.
Fishing Rodeo
Saturday, May 17, 2025 Dusk (May 16th) - 12:00 pm (May 17th)
The Fishing Rodeo will begin at dusk May 16th and end at noon May 17th. Pick up a map of fishing habitat locations at the Lodge, HAWL website, or East Marina Pavilion (when scales are open) to locate fishing spots. Weigh-in will be at the East Marina Pavilion by the Lodge. The scales open at 9:00 am and close promptly at noon. Awards will be presented at 12:30 pm. There will be only one weigh-in per fisherman; all fish must be caught by hook and line. There will be four fish categories (bass, bream/bluegill, crappie, and catfish) and three age groups (10 & under, 11 – 14, and 15 & older). 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place prizes for the largest total weight of fish will be awarded in all age groups in each fish category. (Entry limit for bass, bream/bluegill, and crappie is up to five fish. Unlimited catfish may be entered.) A separate trophy open to all age groups will be presented for Largest Bass. There is no need to register for this FREE Rodeo. For more information, call the Office at 601-798-1484. No skiing or tubing will be allowed on the lake during the fishing rodeo.

The special includes royal red shrimp, potatoes, corn-on-the cob, butter, cocktail sauce, and crackers for $18.99. Reservations are required (for the beach bag special) and can be made by calling the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484. Reserved to-go orders must be picked up by 6:30 pm. Also available: a Waters Edge burger for $8.99 or cheeseburger for $9.99, both served with chips.
Band on the Beach
Saturday, May 24, 2025 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Grab your beach chairs, coolers, and boats for this fun FREE family event! The band will be performing at the outdoor Lodge lower level at no charge for property owners and their guests. All ages are welcome. This is a free family friendly event and as always no glass containers are allowed at the beach or Lodge area.
