Thanksgiving Dinner (Buffet and To-Go)

Thanksgiving is fast approaching! Join Waters Edge for a Thanksgiving Buffet (served by staff) on Thursday, November 28, 2024, with two seatings:
1st Seating: 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
2nd Seating: 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
The menu will include: Ham, Turkey and Dressing, Fried Chicken, Sweet Potato Casserole, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Vegetables, Rolls, Dessert, and Beverages! The cost of the dinner is $21.99 for Adults, $10.99 for Children 5-12, and 99¢ for Children 4 & Under.
To-go plates are available for $16.99 each and feature the following: ham, turkey, dressing, sweet potato casserole, 1 piece of fried chicken (your choice of white or dark meat), a vegetable, a dinner salad, a dinner roll, and a slice of pie. To-go plates may be picked up either between10:45 am - 11:00 am or 12:45 pm - 1 pm. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484.
Kids Coloring Contest 
Attention all artists 10 years old and younger: Use your creativity to color the picture here and have a grown up return it to the HAWL Office by Monday, December 16, 2024, so you can participate in the HAWL Coloring Contest. Prizes will be awarded across three age groups (4 years old and younger, 5 - 7 years old, and 8 - 10 years old). All coloring pages received will be displayed in the Lodge lower level in preparation for Santa’s arrival on Saturday, December 14, 2024. Adults: Complete the section with your information so we may contact you if your artist has won a prize. Only first names and ages will be displayed; phone numbers and lot numbers will be removed.
We are again working with Toys for Tots this holiday season to gather donations of toys for children who might not otherwise have a Merry Christmas. We are asking individuals, as well as challenging HAWL organizations, with a friendly rivalry of a one-toy-per-member contest to help us raise enough donations to equal 900 toys (equal to approximately one per household). If you have any questions or are interested in participating, call the Office at 601-798-1484. Toys for Tots can only accept new, unwrapped toys or cash donations. Boxes will be available at the HAWL Office and Restaurant to drop off toys.
Breakfast with Santa and Santa’s Workshop
Saturday, December 14, 2024 8:00 am – 10:30 am
On Saturday, December 14, 2024, Waters Edge will host a breakfast buffet (served by staff) from
8:00 am - 10:30 am. The cost is $11.99 for adults, $6.99 for children 5-12, and 99¢ for children 4 and under. After breakfast, remember to visit the Lodge lower level to see Santa in his workshop from 8:00 am - 10:30 am!
Christmas Marketplace 
Saturday, December 14, 2024 8:00 am – 10:30 am
On December 14, 2024, there will be a Christmas Marketplace in the downstairs area of the Lodge from 8:00 am - 10:30 am. The Christmas Marketplace is the perfect opportunity for merchants to sell their gift items. Anyone interested in being a vendor at the Christmas Marketplace should note the following:
- Tables are $10 each, no electricity provided.
- Vendors are allowed only one table each.
- Vendors may begin set-up at 7:30 am the day of the event and shopping begins at 8:00 am.
- Signing up early is crucial.
- Due to space limitations, some vendors may be placed in the covered area of the Lodge,
- weather permitting.

New Year’s Dinner
Tuesday, December 31, 2024 4:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Waters Edge will be hosting a New Year’s Eve dinner on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, from 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm. Choose from either prime rib or a grilled trout filet served with lump crab meat and a bearnaise sauce. Both dished will be served with soup, salad, potato casserole, a vegetable, dessert, and a beverage. The cost for dinner is $26.99 per person. Space is limited; reservations are required by Friday, December 27, 2024, and can be made by calling the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484.
New Year’s Eve Party: Glitz and Glamour

Grab your glitzy and glamourous party clothes! The HAWL Social Committee will be hosting a
New Year’s Eve Party: Glitz and Glamour on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. Doors open: 8:30 pm; Party: 9:00 pm - 1:00 am. DJ entertainment will be provided by David Delcambre. The cost to attend is $25 per person which includes set-ups and light snacks. Keep in mind that this event is for adults only. Call the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484 to make reservations.
HAWL Employee Christmas Fund
For the past several decades, HAWL residents have generously donated to a Christmas Fund dedicated to the employees of HAWL and the guard service as a gesture of gratitude. A Christmas Fund Committee has been formed to handle the donations. If you wish to participate, please make your donation payable to HAWL Employee Christmas Fund. (Donations may not be charged to the HAWL account or included with the HAWL payment.) Slips are available here. Donations may be submitted in a separate envelope (preprinted envelopes are available at the HAWL Office or either Guard Gate) to the payment box in front of the restaurant or at the Main Gate, the HAWL Office, or the following address:
