Purple Boat and Golf Cart Decals Now Available
In order to avoid the last minute rush to get your boat on the water for the summer, purple boat and golf cart decals are now on sale. Now is the time to ensure you have the necessary paperwork for renewal. Information may be sent to the HAWL Office by fax (601-798-0604) or email (office@hawlms.net) now so that it is on file when you purchase your decal from the HAWL Office.
AS OF MAY 1, 2025, GREEN BOAT AND GOLF CART DECALS WILL NO LONGER BE VALID. Any boat in the water or golf cart on the road beginning May 1, 2025, with an expired decal will be issued a citation; no exceptions. Save the trip to the HAWL Office and have you boat/golf cart decals mailed to you. Once all forms, insurance, registration, etc. are received by the Office, decals may be mailed for a small processing fee.

Lake Quality Community Service Project – 9:00 am Lodge/East Marina Area
A decision regarding weather will be made on Thursday, March 6, 2025.
The Lake Quality Committee and HAWL Staff are requesting much needed assistance with assembling old Christmas trees and cinder blocks to create fish habitats to place in the lake. If you need service hours or just want to help your community, we need you; all ages welcome. If you are interested in participating and want to sign up, please contact the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484. Lunch and beverages will be provided. The rain date will be Saturday, March 15, 2025.

Blood Drive

In response to a nationwide critical blood supply shortage, HAWL is sponsoring a blood drive through the Blood Center of Picayune. The donation bus will at the Lodge parking lot. Call the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484 for more information. Donors may register through the link on the HAWL Event Page.
Community Meet and Greet with the General Manager

Join HAWL’s General Manager Bruce Devillier for a Community Meet and Greet in Waters Edge Restaurant (upstairs of the Lodge). John Brucks, the Lake Quality Committee Chairperson, has been invited to speak at this event to detail the ongoing work the committee is doing to maintain one of the community’s most valuable assets - our lake. This face-to-face collaboration with property owners will provide the opportunity to ask questions to the General Manager directly. This is a great time to ask any questions to prevent the spread of misinformation and to meet some of your neighbors as great neighbors make great communities. While new property owners are highly encouraged to attend, everyone in HAWL is welcome. If you wish to discuss individual matters such as an issue with a neighbor or a complaint, contact the General Manager directly at the Office to set up an appointment.
SPCA Microchip Event

The Pearl River County SPCA will be in the Lodge parking lot offering microchips for $20 per pet.

Brunch, Bingo, & Boutique
Wednesday, April 9, 2025 Doors Open/Shopping: 10:00 am; Bingo: 11:00 am
The Social Committee is hosting a Ladies Luncheon and Vendors Boutique in Waters Edge. Vendors will be showcasing their goods and services. All guests will enjoy a light lunch and ten games of bingo for $15.00 per person (tax and tip included). Shopping begins at 10:00 am; bingo games begin at 11:00 am. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny and Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 12, 2025 8:00 am – 10:30 am
Waters Edge Restaurant will be hosting a breakfast buffet (served by staff) including an omelet station. The cost is $11.99 for Adults, $5.99 for Children 5 - 12, and 99¢ for Children 4 and Under. The Easter Bunny will be walking around meeting children at their tables. After breakfast, elementary school aged children will have the opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny and participate in an Easter Egg Hunt at 10:30 am at the outside area of the Lodge. If you would like to donate wrapped candy (no bubble gum please) or plastic Easter eggs (new or gently used), please drop them off at the HAWL Office.
Good Friday Oyster Specials
Friday, April 18, 2025 11:00 am – 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
On Good Friday, April 18, 2025, Waters Edge will feature two delicious oyster specials for both lunch (11:00 am - 2:00 pm) and dinner (5:00 pm - 8:00 pm). Enjoy either an Oyster Plate with coleslaw and hushpuppies etouffee for $18.99 or an Oyster Po’boy with chips for $13.99. Reservations are requested and can be made by calling the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484. (No menu items will be available.)
Easter Lunch: Buffet and To-Go

On Sunday, April 20, 2025, Waters Edge will host the Easter Buffet (served by staff) with two seatings:
1st Seating is 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
2nd Seating is 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
The cost of the buffet is $21.99 for adults, $10.99 for children 5 - 12, and 99¢ for children 4 & under. The buffet will include: ham, fried chicken, vegetables, potatoes, salad, and desserts. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484.
To-go plates are available for $16.99 each and feature: ham, a piece of fried chicken, vegetables, potatoes, salad, and dessert. Orders may be picked up either between 10:45 am - 11:00 am or 12:45 pm - 1:00 pm. Call the HAWL Office for reservations.
Lifeguard Training Course
Friday, May 2, 2025 – Sunday, May 4, 2025
HAWL will be hosting a lifeguard training course being managed by Brianna Long from May 2nd to May 4th. You must be at least 15 years of age or older to enroll. To register for the class, visit the link at hawlms.com. This course is intended to certify lifeguards. To be considered for a position at Hide-A-Way, applicants must have current lifeguard certification or be scheduled for training. Contact the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484 if you are interested in applying for a position as a lifeguard.
