Fishing Rodeo

The HAWL Fishing Rodeo (which was held on October 14, 2023) was a complete success. Participants ranged from just beginning to walk to some of our most experienced fishers. Several anglers worked extremely hard and showed up at the pavilion with their catch of the day. Everyone who participated came away with an award or prize of some kind.

HAWL and your Lake Quality Committee thank our residents and rodeo guests for the enthusiasm and support of efforts to promote family activities to enjoy fishing and help community Lake Management objectives to develop “Quality Size” fish in our lake.  To reach our goal of Quality Size fish, a lake must be fished to maintain a balance between bait fish and game fish.
