HAWL's Trash Cart Guidelines

- Garbage collection is on Wednesdays. Carts should not be out by the curb until Tuesday evening and should be put back by the house no later than Wednesday evening.
- You are permitted to place FOUR carts out for collection. Carts can be no larger than 96 gallons.
- All items for disposal must be placed in the carts.
- No green waste bundles, bags, boxes, etc. will be picked up if not in a cart.
- Disposal of all other yard debris is the responsibility of the property owner. If you have more yard debris than can fit into your allotted carts, you can bring it to the landfill in Millard for a small fee. For operating hours and restrictions, contact the Millard Landfill directly at 601-795-2500.
- Trash carts left out for an extended time detract from HAWL’s natural beauty and have a negative impact on property values. Removing trash carts from near the curb promotes a safer roadway environment for drivers and pedestrians alike. Should you be out of town, please arrange with a neighbor or contact the HAWL Office to have the cart brought in from the curb.
- Aluminum cans bagged in tied plastic bags are collected by the Pearl River County SPCA on the trailer parked at the firehouse.
